BEST IN STAND-UP COMEDY AT CATALINA THEATRE JULY 10-20th 2008.
Fresh off a successful and well received national tour, The Comedy Revolution Festival is booked for Durban in July.
Running from the 10th-20th July 2008 at the Catalina Theatre on Wilson’s Wharf the festival is a showcase of the best in cutting-edge local stand-up as well as 3 International comedians. The ‘Revolution’ which has just completed a 17 show tour in seven of South Africa’s nine provinces – setting a record in stand-up in RSA – makes a ten day stop off in Durban where stand-up comedians rotate on the bills and bring Durban, SA’s biggest and longest laughs on a word-class scale. The promoters hand-pick performers not only on stage skill, but material and prowess. This results in Comedy Revolution bills being extremely cutting-edge, thought-provoking and entertaining – as witnessed in the recent national tour.
Stand-up comedians on various bills:
Dave Levinshon (Cape Town); Martin Davis (UK); Glen Bo (RSA); Martin Evans (CT); Marty Kintu (Uganda / CT) Trevor Gumbi (JHB ); Eugene Khosa (JHB); Brendan Murray (CPT) and other local acts for guest spots.
